Make sure to give us a call to ensure your date is available to rent the beautiful chair for your event!

Operations

There is a pick up or drop off option for making sure the chair gets to your event on time. As well as an agreed upon time for drop off or pick up after your event. More logistics are in the agreement you can read below.

The following are the terms and conditions for the rental of the Vintage Peacock Chair:

SAFETY/OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Renter is responsible for picking up and dropping off the chair to October House Vintage at 391 Olean Street, East Aurora, NY 14052. (OR Renter is responsible for being at the drop off/event site when discussed to receive the chair from October House Vintage Owner/Employee.)

  • Proper care of the chair during transportation to and from October House Vintage is the sole responsibility of the renter. Any damage that occurs during transportation is the sole responsibility of the renter.

  • If available, the renter may pick up the chair a day before or drop off the day after the event. However, if there is another renter needing the chair for their event (renter B), the chair must be returned promptly after their (renter A’s) event. If the chair is not returned by the time agreed upon, renter A will be charged $50/day until returned back to October House Vintage. If the chair is not returned at agreed time which then doesn’t allow the next renter (renter B) to receive the chair, the renter (renter A) pays for the down payment of the following event (renter B’s event).

RENT PAYMENT:

  • The renter agrees to pay 50% for the down payment to book their event. The remaining 50% will be handled at pick up.

  • The renter agrees that the down payment is non-refundable if canceled within 48 hours of pick up.

RETURNED CHECK:

  • In the event that the check is returned due to insufficient funds, Renter agrees to pay an additional fee of $25 penalty fee that shall be charged upon renters final payment.

  • The renter agrees that the down payment is non-refundable if canceled within 48 hours of pick up.

SEVERE WEATHER:

  • In the event that the weather is too harsh for driving conditions, October House Vintage will issue a refund for funds received and rental will be canceled.

RENTER RESPONSIBILITY:

  • The chair shall be returned in the same condition as it was rented. In case of damage, a separate assessment shall be made for its repairs or replacement. In case of damage, Renter shall be responsible for an additional cost of the damage incurred except as otherwise damage due to causes of ordinary wear and tear. Renter shall not sublease the rented items to anyone or use the said item in an illegal manner or for illegal purpose.

RENTER ACKNOWLEDGEMENT:

  • Renter acknowledges and certifies that they understand the contents of this agreement. They have had a sufficient opportunity to ask for clarifications which are unclear in this agreement and have been satisfied by the response given to them by the Company representative. By signing this agreement, they agree to be bound by all the terms and conditions herein as well as bound to the rules of the applicable state and federal laws.
