Consignor balances cannot be used to purchase gift cards.

We will do our best to safeguard your items, but we are not responsible for damage, theft, or loss.

Consignors are responsible for updating their account contact information and withdrawing  funds from  their consignor account.

If another person is dropping off on your behalf, they will sign as the responsible party for all current policies and procedures associated with your account.

Consigned items (in active accounts) remain the consignors  property until they expire after the date range set at the time consignment is dropped off.

After 1 year of inactivity, account balances will be moved to use as STORE CREDIT ONLY.

  • ‘Activity’ includes selling an item, making a purchase, taking a check, or using account credit.

October House Vintage has the right to sell your items on their online shop, octoberhousevintage.com.

PROCEDURES

  1. DROP-OFFS:

  • We will go through potential consignment items in-person at the store.

  • We accept consignment any time, however, the process may be slower during our busiest hours.

  • Items not accepted will be immediately given back to the consignor.

  • Accepted consignment will be priced at the sole discretion of October House Vintage.

  • After accepted consignment items are priced, they will be displayed on our sales floor as efficiently as possible, and we strive to get new consignment on the sales floor the day it is received.

  1. DURATION:

  • The accepted items will be on the sales floor for the remainder of the month it was dropped off in, plus 60 days.

    • Example: If you brought your items in on February 15th, your items will be on the sales floor for the rest of February, plus two more months making the pick up window May 1-10th.

  • When you drop off your consigned items, you will be given a 10 day pickup date range (displayed  at the top of the sign in sheet and written on the pick up card given day of drop off) and will be responsible for picking up your items DURING that 10 day pickup window. We recommend writing down that date range and adding it to your calendar!

  1. PICK-UP

  • Consigned items will remain on the sales floor until the time of pickup. To make the pickup more efficient, we appreciate when consignors call ahead  THE DAY OF PICKUP so we can do our best to have them ready for you! We do not pull consigned items off the sales floor more than 1 day in advance.

  • The day after the final pick up date listed, consigned items will become October House Vintage property.

    • If you cannot pick up your consigned items by the end of the set date range, please communicate that to us via call or email and we can extend your items under your account. We are reasonable!

    • When consigned items expire, and become the property of October House Vintage, they become solely owned by the store and can be sold or donated at our discretion.

By signing our  “sign in sheet”, you, the consignor, agree to all of the above policies and procedures.

These are the types of vintage pieces we look for...

FAQ

What types of things are you looking for?

We are looking for unique clothing pieces that are mainly from the 70's, some 50's and 60's are accepted based on style. Other era's are accepted as well if they are unique, one-of-a-kind, highly sought out brand, etc. For decor we look for MCM pieces, craftsman style, cocktail glassware, and other statement items. It is best to stop in the store before you drop off to get an idea on what we take. It is a beautiful, yet curated mix.

How much do I get paid when my things sell?

As soon as an item sells, you can claim anywhere from 30-50% of the profit in a check or use an additional 10% in store credit. This does not have to be a one or the other. You can come in and buy something with your store credit and receive the rest in a check or even keep it going to save up for something you're keeping your eye on!

What if there is minor damage on my items?

If your item has minor damage on it and it is truly vintage, we will price the item "AS IS" so the new owner is aware of the imperfections. Some damaged items will not be accepted based on severity. *Keep in mind, when something has imperfections, the price will be determined based on those conditions.

What if I have big items to sell?

We encourage consignors to take pictures of their bigger pieces or hard to pack up items so they can know whether or not it is worth brining in. We also have a furniture waitlist because of the limited space available. We will inform you when your accepted item can be brought in!

what happens if my things don't sell?

After your items expire, you have 10 days to pick them up or they will be donated or converted into the ownership of October House Vintage. At your initial drop off, you will choose whether you want to pick up your items or automatically donate them at the end of the term and we can do that for you. *If you are out of town or unable to pick up you items within the 10 days allotted, please inform us so we do not donate your items.
